Did you know all our prints exhibited at Days We Met are available for sale? All prints are available at S$150 each. Support us by buying a piece of our work to take home with you, and enable us to keep photographing. You can enquire with Objectifs if you're at the gallery itself, or email us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Objectifs: What do you hope for people to get out of this exhibition?
FFW: We hope that our viewers can appreciate that photography isn’t just about pretty photos, but also about putting oneself, no matter how subtle, into the photos. That photography is and should be personal, and is not just a medium, but a way that life unfolds. If our viewers can come away from Days We Met with their own interpretations and narratives, we would be absolutely thrilled.
A couple of PSAs:
1. All the prints exhibited at Days We Met are available for sale at S$150 each. We are not editioning the prints, because we believe that everyone should be able to afford and take a piece of our work home with them.
2. Our artists' talk is happening this Saturday, January 18th, beginning at 2pm. Hope to see you there!
5ive Foot Way will be at the gallery at Objectifs Centre for Photography and Filmmaking, to talk about Days We Met, working as a collective, and our photography, this Saturday, 18th January 2014, starting at 2pm. For everyone who wants to know more about the collective and its members, and/or ask us pointed questions, please mark your calendars.
Last Thursday, Days We Met opened to an enthusiastic crowd of fellow photography lovers. We'd like to thank every one of you who showed up that evening — photographers, enthusiasts, family, and those who caught wind of the event and showed up — and hope that you enjoyed the work that we have put up.
All of us at 5ive Foot Way would like to thank everyone at Objectifs Centre for Photography and Filmmaking, as well as Chii Fei of Chiif Cameras, for their patience, kindness, and generosity; without them, Days We Met would not be possible. We truly mean that.
For those of you who missed the opening, and would like to talk to us about the work, we are holding an artists' talk on January 18th starting 2pm, at Objectifs, and we'd love to see you there.
Here are some snapshots we took at the event, and even though we did not get a group shot, it's probably enough to show you what happened that evening. Our friend Gent also has a post of the event, and none of us here can claim to write the way he does. Check it out.
