We had the privilege of showing and selling books from our collective and its individual members at the IPA Photo Book Show 2013, held over the last weekend at the National Museum of Singapore. We did rather well, exceeding our own (admittedly low) expectations.
It was a great experience being there amongst photographers and enthusiasts alike, with a shared fondness for the reproduced image, and the great and diverse body of work that was on show. We were also greatly encouraged by the generally favourable reactions to our offerings, and that can only spur us on to greater heights.
5ive Foot Way would like to thank the ever-generous Kevin WY Lee, founder of Invisible Photographer Asia, for organising the event, and allowing the collective to show our work and ply our wares at the show. We wish you every success with your new book, Bay of Dreams, and may you sell many, many copies.
The great crew of volunteers Kevin assembled, including (but not limited to) Sebastian Song, Darren Soh, Saifuddin Jalil, Anol Bhattacharya, Raymond Tanhueco, Len Cruz, Mark Ortega, William Reodica, Black Swan, Siong Chung Hwa, Andrew Nethercleft, et al, also played a huge part in the show's resounding success. It was a pleasure working with you guys. Special mention should also go to the kind Chii Fei Ho of Chiif Cameras for sponsoring our posters.
We would also like to thank the many generous friends who visited our booth and who bought copies of our books. You guys keep us going.
Thank you, every single one of you.

5ive Foot Way is proud to announce two new publications from two of our founding members: Nisshi Vol. III by Callan and Japan Quietly by Jing Wen.
Japan Quietly is the result of a two week summer tour around the quiet realm of Japan, collecting the poignant scenes which Jing Wen encountered. It is representative of both Japan and Jing Wen, where his formalistic yet unforced compositions shows his dinstinctive flavour through his favoured square frames.
The 82-page book is priced at US$24/S$30 (plus shipping) per copy, and available for order through Jing Wen himself; you can contact him for details.
Nisshi Vol. III is the continuation of Callan's photographic journal, featuring 30 black and white photographs over 52 pages, taken between August and December 2012.
The zine is priced at US$15/S$20. You can contact Callan to place an order, or buy it from MagCloud at the following link: http://www.magcloud.com/browse/issue/612880. A free digital version is available for download at the same link.
We hope you will enjoy the books as much as we enjoyed putting them together.
